Toymakers Step2 came out with some pictures of their new bed. The red Z06 based toddlers bed is a highlight of their Corvette racing-themed packages and it even features working lights.

The bed is priced at a modest $229 has a set of realistic vette wheels and top on headlights (which costs an additional $5). Now I know what to get my friend for his next birthday.

Boss 302 + Beer = Tree

Somethings just never change, after drinking a few beers (10 to be exact) a 35 year old man thought it would be a smart idea to show off his newly acquired track ready Laguna Seca Boss 302. Well you guys can figure out what happened next, the driver lost control crashed into a Jeep Grand Cherokee and then spun into a tree.

According to the police the car was traveling at speeds of 70 mph. The driver now faces charges and if convicted could be sentenced up to 2 years in prison.

Barnyard Hero’s

Normally in a barn you'll find animals or some type of farm equipment… well this was not the case. Three vintage exotic cars were found in a Texas. The three exotic cars found were a 1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona with 9,752 miles, a 1974 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS with 2,910 miles and a 1977 Maserati Bora Coupe with a mere 978 miles. All three will be sold in Mecum's Monterey auction next month.
The story behind the cars were that they were kept in storage for 30 years by the owner who was a friend of Italian racer Luigi Chinetti. Luigi also opened the first Ferrari dealership in the U.S. following World War II. The dealership was for many years the only source of Ferraris in the U.S.

Project Restoration-Letterpress

I had the opportunity a few days ago to purchase these two antique printing presses. I've always admired the many forms of printing, but I have a little soft spot for letterpress printing. Letterpress is an ancient printing technique that involves printing words or designs with ink while simultaneously debossing the image into thick, soft paper. In recent years the letterpress trend has been growing considerably and is currently one of the hottest trends in stationery. Ultimately my goal here is to not only offer another service but to have clients admire the work we'll be creating. I was fortunate enough to stumble across these two vintage machines. I've been doing a bit of research and hopefully can start on my restoration project soon. Playseats – Red Bull F1 Game Simulator

Playseats is a Netherlands based gaming company which has just teamed with Red Bull Racing to build an extremely cool F1 home simulator.

Designed and built by Playseats, the simulator not only has the Red Bull Racing logo but also the Austrian racing team’s F1 colors.

Supposedly the gaming seat reproduces the exat same driving position of an F1 race car. It can be configured with any PC, PS3, XBOX 360 and Wii gaming consoles. The F1 game seat will be available this May. the sticker price like some of you maybe wondering is a cool $1,400 USD

Chinese Owner Destroys Lamborghini Gallardo

I’m pretty sure no one has ever seen this before. In a case of bad customer service, a Lamgorghini Gallardo owner in China took things into his owns hands. The owner purchased the vehicle six months ago and nn november 29,2010 the engine failed to start. The owner contacted the dealership who then had the car transported to their service center. The problem wasn’t resolved and to top it off the vehicles front bumper was damaged through transit. The owner complained, but the dealership refused to take responsibility.

The owner then contacted Lamborghini CEO (Stephan Winkelmann), Lamborghini China headquarters and parent company Volkswagen Group. Again the engine problem wasn’t resolved. Angry at the poor customer service and lack of customer rights the owner felt the best way to gain attention this his problem was to destroy the car. Check out the video below

Does ‘Sex’ sell?

When I look at the Nissan Juke i’m constantly reminded of that famous saying ” a face that only a mother could love”. Sure its a ‘cross over’ and yes Nissan already has another ‘cross over’ in their similarily priced Nissan Rogue. The understaning is that Juking is man’s work, and the little Nissan Juke crossover is likewise targeted toward men because, well, the Nissan Rogue wasn’t?!

Anyway back to these commercials no matter how this car looks or performs we can all clearly see where Nissan is going with these ads…targetting men. Well done Nissan… I might swing by an check out the Juke in person! Here is a review from Car & Driver.

Can evolution cease to exist?! Mitsubishi sure thinks so… According to a UK article from AUTOCAR Mitsubishi is ditching their iconic rally hertiage. The company has no plans for the Lancer Evo passed 2013. Mitsubishi’s focus will be primarily on “Eco Friendly” EV technology, the Evo’s were successful in the WRC Rallies from 1996-1999,thanks to the Finn Tommi Mäkinen, for clinching the driver’s titles from 1996–1999. Takata in trouble with the law?

Best known for their green harness and their sexy marketing campaigns, the FBI issued a search warrant for TK Holdings Inc (known to us as Takata) for allegations of illegally trying to prevent competion. The allegations stem from Takata’s dealings with another company Tokai Rika who’s a supplier for Toyota. Among the items siezed by the FBI were cell phone and transaction records of sales associates dating back January 1st 2005. Seems like Toyota just can’t catch break from the media spot light.
